Michele Panfoli “ Art is what allows you to go beyond the horizon ”
 

Born on 04/21/1978 in Acquapendente (VT), son of Maria Angela Fastelli and Mauro Panfoli, wrought iron sculptor with whom over the years he has created various works and collaborations. His first approach to sculpture and painting it happened at the age of 15; subsequently he attended the painting workshop of the master Giulio Sugaroni.

From 2003 he began collaborations with galleries in Italy and abroad with personal and collective exhibitions in Italy, Europe, the USA and in the east in Hong Kong.

In March 2008 he was one of the 8 finalists at the 5th Biennale of Contemporary Art in Cannes (in Mandelieu - France); at the same time he is one of the artists of the Galleria Il Collezionista in Rome who takes part in the (TOUR) of the "7th International Art Grand Prix" with stops in Rome - Genoa - Barcelona - Berlin. In October 2009, during the celebrations for the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, he exhibited at the Pinna gallery in Berlin with a contemporary art solo show, the year in which he won the International Artiste De Montmartre award and in 2010 he participated in "Incontri d'arte “ contemporary art exhibition presented by Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi.

In October 2013 he was chosen by the artistic direction of the London gallery and joined the group of artists participating in the "EGOS V" Contemporary Art Exhibition held at the "Royal Opera Arcade Gallery" in London.

Since 2011 it has been published in important art books.

Numerous publications in magazines such as Arte Mondadori and authoritative art books including the Catalog of Modern Art editorial G. Mondadori Ed. Cairo (known as CAM Mondadori) and the Atlas of Contemporary Art Edito DeAgostini in which they are also published the market quotations of his works according to the judgments of the Editorial Critical Directions.

The artist was subsequently invited to the presentation of the DeAgostini Atlas of Contemporary Art, presented on 15 February 2019 at the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome and to that of CAM 54 - Catalog of Modern Art Ed. Giorgio Mondadori, Ed. Cairo, presented on March 7 of the same year at the MAXXI Museum in Rome.

He participates in the 57th and the recent 59th Venice Biennale, in numerous editions of the Rome Triennale and in some editions of Art Capital at the Grand Palais in Paris, holder of 5 international awards on 19 October 2018 he obtains an "Artistic Award for Lifetime Achievement" Chamber of Deputies" and on 24 June 2022 he obtained the "Honorable mention for his career at the Sorbonne University in Paris - Amphi Chasles".

 

His works can be found in private collections or exhibited during tours in galleries around the world.

 

He currently lives in Acquapendente, his country of origin, place and point of reference in the upper Tuscia Viterbese where he also manages his Atelier.
